BONNIE HERSHEY, M.EdDIRECTOR OF THE KINESIOLOGY CONNECTION
LICENSED BRAIN GYM® & TOUCH FOR HEALTH INSTRUCTOR |
Bonnie is a graduate of Ohio State University with a degree in Education and a master’s degree from Lesley University in Creative Arts in Learning. Bonnie taught physical education at the junior high and middle school levels in Newton for 25 years, retiring in 1997 from the public school classroom to devote more time to The Kinesiology Connection.
Bonnie was first introduced to specialized kinesiology in the form of Educational Kinesiology in 1990 when she took her first Brain Gym* class as Eliza Bergeson’s student. She was so inspired by the concepts and techniques that she has continued taking classes since that time. What intrigued Bonnie most was the inter-connection between what she had been doing, teaching physical education, and the concepts of Brain Gym. She gained a deeper understanding of the importance of movement and how it relates to physical, emotional and intellectual development. Integrating Brain Gym into her public school classes was easy and satisfying. In 1995, Bonnie co-founded The Kinesiology Connection with Eliza Bergeson and in 2001 became the sole Director. The Kinesiology Connection is a hub of client and class activity. Her inspiring and energetic Brain Gym Introductions have been presented to school systems, Parent-Teacher Organizations, support groups, businesses and conventions. Bonnie teaches Brain Gym® 101, the Brain Gym® Teacher Practicum, Touch for Health and MicroBusiness Mastery. She sees clients privately, coaches and presents Brain Gym® Introductions throughout New England. Bonnie is an International Faculty Member of Brain Gym® International and has served on their Board of Directors. |
